Long Time no post!
It has been a busy time on many fronts.
Parish life is as busy as ever with lots of good stuff happening.
Running wise there has been four Half Marathons(Cleethorpes, Lincoln, The Grusome Twosome & Worksop) and a Cross Country relay event in mansfield. Each tough runs for different reasons, sadly though the sub two half marathon was not to be, but it still stands as a target for next year.
What has become evident is, I love running, both the physical and mental challenge as well as the social aspect.
Next year though will be a different landscape as in a post run euphoric state I booked for the Boston(UK) Marathon in April. Shocked myself, slightly apprehensive but really excitied.
What this does mean is I need to keep up the training of the winter as well as looking at nutrition, endurance and upping distance. I now need to look for a training plan and get started. Suggestions for a plan are welcome.
In the meantime I still have other targets in mind, sub 50 10k, sub 23 5k and of course the sub 2 half marathon, but for now im going to simply continue enjoying running and preparing for the challenge of the full marathon.
